All registered estate agents in SA must comply with the new legislation before December 2011.
Anyone who is or want to register with the EAAB with a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate
must complete the FETC Real Estate L4.
Real Estate - FETC NQF Level 4
This is the name for the new qualification for estate agents, it is registered on the National Qualifications Framework level 4, SAQA ID number 59097, Further Education and Training Certificate Real Estate. The Further Education and Training Certificate: Real Estate is a nationally (and internationally) recognised qualification. This qualification is designed for those learners who are already involved in the field of Property and Real Estate. It is also for learners who wish to seek a career in this industry. Agents need a minimum of 150 credits to earn the qualification.
Real Estate - NC NQF Level 5
The National Certificate Real Estate, SAQA ID 20188 was registered on the 17th July 2007. SAQA decision number: SAQA0160/05. The National Certificate Real Estate is registered on NQF level 5, with a minimum of 135 credits. A learner can complete the qualification with a specialisation in Property Management, Real Estate, or Valuation. The core unit standards are relevant to each area of specialisation.
